WWII 509th Composite Group Grouping Atomic Bomb

This is a really cool grouping that belonged to Carl D. Switzer, a Sergeant assigned to the 509th Composite Group, 20th Air Force during WWII.  First off, this is not the same Carl D. Switzer who was know for his role as "Little Rascals" Alfalfa in the 1930's; just an amazing coincidence!  Sgt. Switzer was trained by the military as a welder.  It was reported by the family that he did have contact with and supposedly did work to ready one of the atomic bombs for delivery.  According to his paperwork, Switzer was deployed in June of 1945 to the Marianas and remained there until October, 1945 when he returned to the States where he was discharged November 16, 1945 from Roswell, NM.  This grouping includes: his original paper discharge record and a microfilm copy; original separation qualification record; original draft registration card and draftee induction notice; original welding diploma which is hand signed by the Commanding General Brig. General Raymond E. O'Neill and on the reverse by class mates;1967 copy of his birth certificate; personalized leather discharge folder; his original insignia; and a 1950's 509th patch.  Also included is a short bio on him from the family with some genealogy work.  There is likely more research that could be compiled on him.
